The National Anglican Catholic Church encourages all clergy, and members of the Church, to pray daily The Chaplet of Divine Mercy. Though orignally a Roman Catholic tradition, is has been assumed into the Anglican church for it's benefit of prayer, comfort and intercession.
To pray The Chaplet of Divine Mercy, rosay beads should be used. Begin with the sign of the Cross; "In the name of the Father, the Son and Holy Spirit. Amen". Then recite the Lords Prayer and three Hail Marys on the ascending beads.
Begin: "Eternal Father, I offer you the Body and the Blood, Soul and Divinity of your dearly beloved Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, in atonement for my sins and those of the whole world." On each of the subsequent ten beads, recite: "For the sake of His sorrowful Passion, have Mercy on us and on the whole world." Repeat until reaching the large bead at the start of the next decade, then repoeat the above prayer sequence until the circle of the rosary is complete.
As you come to the end, with the three large ascending beads now descending, pray: "Holy God, Holy Mighty One, Holy Immortal One, have Mercy on me and on the whole world." Concluding with: "Glory Be to the Father, to the Son and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be- world without end. Amen."
The Chaplet of Divine Mercy is prayed daily, and usually at three o'clock in the afternoon, the hour of our Lord's Passion. But anytime is perfect for this simple prayer to beg God's Mercy on a world and time in need of it. Thank you.
