Some people can become confused? What is an Anglican? You're Catholic, but you don't come under the authority of the Pope? I am not sure I understand.

In America, most Anglicans are known more commonly as being affiliated with the Episcopal Churches. However, the National Anglican Catholic Church has a somewhat different governing structure and theological doctrine; such as the ordination of women and homosexuals without judgement or question, blessing of "civil unions" and progressive positions on many contemporary moral and social issues. A concept commonly known as "Liberation Theology" by scholars and theologians.

We recognize the The Most Right Reverend Rowan Williams as the 104th Archbishop of Canterbury and Primate of the Church of England. That he is the spiritual leader of The Worldwide Anglican Communion, of which we subscribe. The Worldwide Anglican Communion is a fellowship of Anglican and Espicopal churches that share the same liturgy and catechism.

We are a Catholic church in that we participate in the historic universal Catholic traditions and sacraments, though we do not hold to the infallibility of the Pope.  We do recognize and respect the Pope as the spiritual leader of our brothers and sisters in the Roman Catholic Church.

Our Church has many published positions concerning contemporary social and moral issues- divorce, same sex unions, homosexuality, living wills, reconciliation, fundamentalism and many other timely topics. We invite your questions and interest, and encouarge you to reach out to us!

The National Anglican Catholic Church has come to understand the diversity and contemporary concerns that impact us all. The exciting news is that, we believe, God knows too!  God understands and calls us to comfort and conscience.

For too long, fundamental theology has "locked" God away behind marble walls of an ancient churh or between the covers of a dusty book; an old first century literal biblical interpretation. Hidden there, many of us could not find God. We were confused as to where to look for him... even afraid God did not want to be found.

But Christ has called to us, "Seek and you shall find, knock and the door shall be opened!" Christ historic words remind us that God can be found. Indeed, God is searching for us! Today! Even now! Christ calls for us to follow him. Christ is leading the way. Indeed, Christ is the way! We have grasped His hand to walk with God through these new exciting times! Will you be bold enough- have faith enough, to take our hand and walk with us?
